Arrow were filming scenes inside and old factory/warehouse in Queensborough a couple of days ago.
I chanced upon the OQF signs that Arrow use whilst going through Queensborough on my way home from Steveston on Thursday (October 11, 2012) and decided it was worth going for a look at what was going on. The night before, Arrow premiered on CW to a record breaking 4 million viewers for the network.
The location they were filming on is private property, so there was no chance of actually getting too close to any of the action. But, luckily, there is a public walkway that runs along side the area. I could see that lights had been set up along the various roofs of the building and that plastic sheeting had been put up to cover some of the windows but that was about all I could see. An added bonus was that the entrance to the set was highly visible to anyone who walked along the path.
I hung around for a while to see if any of the cast would come out but it never happened, at least not whilst I was there. John Barrowman, who plays a “well dressed man” in the show tweeted that it was going to be a long night for them and that they weren’t going to be finished until 5am. I wasn’t going to hang around that long.
Speaking of John Barrowman, his character is set to appear in the fifth episode of Arrow which is entitled “Damaged” as an associate of Moira Queen, Oliver Queen’s mother. You can read more about this, and get a look at what his character will look like over at The Hollywood Reporter.
I did take a few pictures of the set though, and they can be found in the gallery below.
Arrow airs on Wednesday at 8:00pm Eastern/7:00pm Central on The CW in the US, and at 9:00pm on CTV Two in Canada.
