Once Upon a Time were on the rooftops of Storybrooke yesterday, filming William Smee and Captain Hook.

For the sharp eyed amongst you, you might have spotted Captain Hook in some of the pictures I posted yesterday of Mr. Gold and Belle. Colin O’Donoghue wasn’t just there to support his fellow cast members on his day off, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t wear the Hook costume whilst not filming (or maybe he does?). He was there to film his own scenes.

I had prior knowledge that Hook would be on set, so it was no surprise to see him there. The surprise for me was seeing Smee (Chris Gauthier) back in Storybrooke. I though we’d seen the last of him after he kidnapped Belle. I’d assumed that he’d fallen to some form of revenge from Rumpelstiltskin for doing such a wicked thing to the newly appointed librarian of Storybrooke.

Captain Hook and Smee filmed their scenes on the rooftop of one of the buildings in Storybrooke with Killian Jones (such a great surname) using his spyglass to search for something. I guess the cat is out of the bag in regards to Hook now being in Storybrooke. But how, and when did he arrive? Did he arrive alone?

It was a cold and wet day in Steveston, but I braved the elements to get there to watch the filming so that I could share pictures of the shoot with you guys, the fans. Mentioning fans, there were only a handful of people in Steveston yesterday to watch this shoot in the afternoon. When I got back there in the evening, there were slightly more fans there. But not too many to cause a problem for Rick, the security guy.

He was kind enough to bring Robert Carlyle and Emilie De Ravin out to meet the diehard fans so that they could get autographs and pictures taken. The crew of Once Upon a Time are nothing short of amazing. And, as always Sarah, the leaf Lady (or should that be Lass) was there to keep everyone entertained.
