Both Supernatural and Arrow have been renewed by The CW for new seasons. This means that Supernatural gets a 9th season and Arrow gets a second.

It comes as no surprise that these shows got renewed. The fans absolutely love Supernatural and never want it to quit so it makes sense to keep it going. Arrow was a sure fire hit from the first episode to get renewed (in my opinion anyhow).

Indeed, Arrow ranks as the network’s most-watched show this season, averaging 4.3 million viewers.

The president of The CW, Mark Pedowitz said:

“We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit Arrow and fan favorite Supernatural on Wednesday night, and the continued success of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that,”
