Robocop: Vancouver Convention Centre


Last year, the production team behind Robocop moved to Vancouver to film reshoots for the upcoming February released movie. This was to accommodate both Joel Kinnaman and Gary Oldman.

Both were already in Vancouver. Joel was here filming TV Show The Killing and Gary was here to film the sequel to Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

The Killing’s Joel Kinnaman will be getting rid of the grey hoody that we are used to seeing him in and putting on something slightly different next year.

Joel landed the role of Detective Alex Murphy in the remake of RoboCop. Whilst this movie filmed in Toronto, they did spend a couple of weeks here in Vancouver doing re-shoots.

Robocop: Reshoot set video with Gary Oldman


Robocop hit town yesterday to start on their reshoot for the remake of the 1987 movie starring Peter Weller.

They were set up outside the Vancouver Convention Centre to film a single scene involving Gary Oldman walking down some stairs and into an awaiting vehicle and speeding off.
