The filming of Godzilla took over Moncton Street yesterday in the quiet fishing village of Steveston. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. Every production that comes to B.C. has to film there.
Of course I’m joking about every production having to film in Steveston, but it does seem that everything does film there.
Yesterday was no different and it was the turn of the Hollywood movie Godzilla.
Hollywood came to Steveston yesterday (and are there for pretty much the rest of the week) for the filming of the Godzilla reboot. It was a beautiful day in the quiet fishing village, but the place was teeming with US Army.
Of course, this was all part of the scene that they were filming. Aaron Taylor-Johnson was present in civilian clothing coming out the back of one of the troop carriers that was present there.
Godzilla are getting ready to shoot in Steveston today and they’re at Garry Point Park. Big fenced off areas protecting some army vehicles.

Reshoots of the remake of Robocop are going on in Vancouver at the moment and last night they were once again at Jack Poole Plaza.
The reshoots have been moved to Vancouver to accommodate the main star of the movie, Joel Kinnaman who is here filming season three of AMC’s The Killing.
The Shallow Graves made for TV movie wrapped filming last night inside New Westminster City Hall courtroom.
The star of the movie is Sarah Carter from Final Destination 2 and centers around a police investigation of a murder that happened ten years ago.
Decided to take a trip to a very wet North Vancouver today to see them filming the movie Seventh Son.
Ben Barnes was dressed in what looked like medieval clothing and hiding behind a tree. It was interesting to see how far out the crew had to be to get the smoke just right for the scene. Talking of smoke, there was a lot of it! It was being pumped in via long hoses.
I’ve been meaning to write this post for a few days now, but didn’t know if I wanted to or not.
Fringe is over… There I’ve said it. The finale aired last week (Friday January 18th, 2013) over two hours and boy, what a dramatic two hours they were.
12 Rounds: Reloaded were filming by the Museum of Vancouver, so I went down to watch the filming.
