Leo Awards: Once Upon a Time and Intelligence’s Meghan Ory

Saturday’s Leo Awards brought out a lot of local celebrities and filmmakers to celebrate the best of film and television that’s made right here in British Columbia.

Meghan was at the awards with John Reardon, her husband who plays Greg Cameron on Continuum, the husband of Kiera Cameron.

The Leo Awards: Once Upon a Time’s Beverley Elliott singing

The Leo Awards were a bundle of laughs last night with Brent Butt and Nancy Robertson at the helm to guide us, but a highlight was a surprise musical number by none other than Granny from Once Upon a Time.

That’s right, the wonderful woman we all know and love as Granny on the hit ABC TV Show, Beverley Elliott was there to sing a song about “Filming in BC”. It had the audience laughing and clapping along and made fun of the industry and her love for filming in BC. Based on Adele’s Rolling in the deep, Filming in BC was a great way to open the show.

We’ve decided that we’re going to try and do a WEEKLY podcast for you guys from now on, so hopefully that will work out. We’re planning on recording the episodes on a Saturday or Sunday and getting it out on the Monday. If all goes to plan.

Once Upon a Time: Storybrooke Bread is no more

We’ve mentioned that they might not be filming Once Upon a Time in Steveston anymore, but we now how a photograph to prove that things are changing back to how it was before they took over.

Once Upon a Time has undoubtedly had an impact on Steveston. I’m sure that the local stores and businesses love the popularity of the show and the many fans that it brings to the little village, but it probably also has it’s down sides.

We often forget how much work goes into making an episode of Once Upon a Time by the cast and crew. The props department is one of those. The show wouldn’t be what it is without them. They do an amazing job.
